Literacy Superheroes of the World Unite!
The second graders will be joining forces with other classrooms around the world as Literacy Superheroes! The Literacy Superheroes Project is a Global Collaboration Project created by Mrs. Harju and her Discovery Education teacher friend from McKinney Texas, Mrs. Strother. Classrooms will create an eBook each month using the Superhero themed prompts. These eBooks will be shared with classrooms around the world. We will read each other’s eBooks and learn more about each other and what is Super about our schools and where we live. Classrooms will be able to connect with each other using Skype, iChat or another video chat tool to continue the learning. Registration just opened for the Literacy Superheroes Project and we hope many classrooms will join in our quest for Global LIteracy! The book was created with an iPad and the Book Creator App. You will need to read it on an iPad, iPhone or iTouch.

We also recommend three other eBook Creation Apps, My Story, Scribble Press and Story Patch. All are easy to use and allow us to create eBooks that we can share with the world!
